In February, nearly 200 UNITE! members gathered to get to know the candidates and dive deeper into our vision of what we want Allegheny County to look like in the future.

Several hundred post-it notes later, our members have spoken. We want to elect people who are focused on racial and economic justice every day. Our top issues include criminal justice reform, ending the school to prison pipeline, growing worker power, and environmental justice. Our candidates must have integrity and courage, must reject corporate money, and must have a track record of engaging on our issues. Most of all, we want to elect leaders who are eager to work with and be accountable to working people and people of color.
